  • Keyboard Practice:  Dance Mat Typing:  Keyboarding practice from BBC
  • Digital Passport:  A free learning program from Common Sense Media provides web-based games and videos for third- to fifth-graders to help them develop skills in personal safety, respecting others online, and how to engage with the community.
  • You Tube for Teachers:  Customize a page, archive the clips you will use, and make it accessible to students – for free!
  • Teacher’s Domain – free online library of videos:    Search by subject and grade level for more than 1,000 free media resources from the best in public television; easy to use and correlate to state and national standards.
  • Interactive Graphic Organizers: A wide variety of templates with text boxes you can download, fill in online, and print. Graphic Organizers in Spanish
  • Popplet:  Students can create individual or collaborative graphic organizers and galleries.  Also available as an app.
  • Khan Academy:  Videos, lessons, and practice for math from arithmetic to algebra; science from biology to astronomy; civics and US history; and SAT test prep.  Set up a class and track your students’ progress as they work at their own pace, from home or at school.  It’s all free and there’s no advertising!
  • Khan Academy in Spanish!
  • Little Bird Tales:  Students can write, illustrate, and record their own story or report.  They can draw right in the program or  can upload images.  Site is free with no advertising but you can purchase an MP4 of the creation if you choose.
  • Teaching Channel:  A video showcase — on the Internet and TV — of inspiring and effective teaching practices in America’s schools.
  • Think Finity:  Thousands of lesson plans and learning materials, videos, and at home activities created in partnership with respected organizations such as National Geographic, American Association for Advancement of Science, International Reading Association, etc.
  • Awesome Stories:   A broad and engaging collection of 800 multimedia (video, audio, documents, images) stories in all subject areas with links to primary sources.  Basic subscription is free for teachers.  They call themselves “a playground for critical thinking.”
  • SAS Curriculum Pathways:  Online content in English, mathematics, social studies, science and Spanish for middle and high school. Aligned with state standards, its more than 200 InterActivities and 600 ready-to-use lessons apply technology-rich instruction to engage higher-order thinking skills.
  • Vokis:  Little avatars that you or your students create, customize, and equip with your own voice. Voki How-to Video
  • PBS LearningMedia is a FREE digital media content library designed to support curriculum-based teaching and learning from PreK through 12th grade. Register today to explore over 30,000 resources from PBS and trusted media partners like NPR, BBC, and Latino Public Broadcasting.
  • Stopwatches and timers:  Great for motivation and competition!
